In season

Preoccupied this week with revisions to the work-in-progress, so not much time, or head space, for blogging. So I'm sharing these pictures, taken at Apt market. Is there a nation on earth that can make vegetables look as appealing as the French? It's not just the way the structure of the displays, but the graduations of colour. And it all tastes so much better than anywhere else, of course.

those asparagus look very pale, is that a different type to the one we get over here. Lovely the garlic bulbs though. Good luck with revisions.

Gorgeous displays! Excellent captures of the sexiness of French vegetables. Yum! Not only good for one's health, but excellent eye candy as well.

when i come here i become aware again and again of my love for that country, how the people are connected still with their land and the products they grow, how a table becomes a feast everyday, not just the flavours but the sheer look of it.
thanks, xx

I definitely eat more veggies here than I did in the States or Ireland. They all look so fresh that I can't resist.
