A good day for writing

Now this is just perfect for cracking on...a thick layer of snow. It was still falling when we woke up this morning and there was that silence outside that says no one is going anywhere.

Footsteps on the front steps. All is monochrome outside. Inside, we put the kettle on for a pot of tea and settle down for a cosy and productive day.

It's great that you've put a positive spin on the snow! Although judging by your photographs, I would be staring out of window too much... because it's so beautiful.

Am having my own day like that here. It's been pouring since early this morning. I'll take rain over snow, though. Love the teapot.

It looks beautiful! Definitely a great day for staying inside (and writing!)

We were talking about you as well as 'The Lantern' in my writer's group today...were your ears burning??

I do love the snow, it looks so beautiful. I do feel sad though as all the lovely daffodils just emerging are hidden beneath. Lets hope they survive. Writing has been put on hold for me today as I share a snow day at home with my five year old. Lovely.

It is lovely. We've just gotten over a large snowfall in Chicagoland, but the blasted precipitation is still flitting about this afternon. I usually love the snow, but I'm really looking forward to spring next week.

the snow reflecting the light, the house inside bathing in that special shine,
your teapot made me smile, the contrast,

thinking now of the scent of snow, x

Loved all these comments - thank you, as ever.

The teapot is great, isn't it, though bizarrely the colour didn't come out right in the photo. It's actually grey-green, and the very talented potter, my old neighbour Caroline Bishop, was inspired by Monet's waterlilies. I will try to get a better pic and post that.

Mmm...the scent of snow, that's got me thinking!

I think that the weather has officially gone crazy! That said, it is a good thing if it helps you write.
