There is much food for thought, in Sabine's choices and character (who was he/ wasn't she).

I found your turning to fictional characters and how they are viewed very interesting ... and how people view a book through its characters.

I agree that 'the very complexity' is the point in your books. Life with no complexities is a false life, but sometimes people want that in a book as a form of escapism.

A really great post.agujahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15857809123531088629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004288060867455452.post-52329949792390780232012-02-20T13:55:48.415-08:002012-02-20T13:55:48.415-08:00Interesting post, Deborah, and a lot of food for t...Interesting post, Deborah, and a lot of food for thought. We all react in different ways to characters in fiction. It's surprising how extreme those reactions can be.

Third time lucky! It keeps telling me the characters I entered don't match the word verification. More like Blogger and Wordpress not acknowledging each other's existence, I think. I guess we all come to fiction with different experiences.

Interesting how stories can be interpreted in so many different ways.Karen Wojcik Bernerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12824421839546160653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7004288060867455452.post-66855372334059223582012-02-20T07:57:59.012-08:002012-02-20T07:57:59.012-08:00I am truly touched that my comments had such an ef...I am truly touched that my comments had such an effect on you Deborah, and also by the kind things you said about my character. Your post in turn caused me to think a great deal about societal norms and why some react one way to a character and others in a completely different fashion. I will mull some more on this. Thank you!ElizabethYounghttp://gardengatewares.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
